Workouts are started and stored on your iPhone.
Requires the iPhone app. Your Watch shows and logs the current set.
Keep your iPhone nearby with Bluetooth on, then tap Sync with iPhone on the Watch. To avoid surprise changes, changes made on the Watch are never queued while the iPhone is out of reach.
Make sure Open Watch App When a Workout Starts is on in the app’s Settings and that you’ve allowed Apple Health access. iOS uses Health to launch the Watch app.
Turn on Save Workouts to Apple Health in Settings and allow workout sharing in the Health app (your profile → Privacy → Apps → Workouts). Any workouts that weren’t exported are retried automatically next time you open the app.
Turn on Rest-Complete Notification in Settings and allow notifications for Workouts in iOS Settings. The alert appears when a rest ends while the app is in the background.
Delete workouts in History, routines on the Workout tab and custom exercises in the Exercises tab, or delete the app to remove everything. See the Privacy Policy for details.
